I love this…I really do…It like eating chocolate cheerios….its like waking up and realizing that you dont have to go to work….

My Friend Andy

It all started for Andy when he turned 50 years old.  All of a sudden girls found him extremely attractive.  It was probably some of vibe that Andy was giving off, but whatever it was it was working.  The day after he turned 50, Andy was walking down Hennepin Avenue in South Minneapolis.   This really tall Swedish girl came straight up to Andy and asked if she saw him on TV the night before.  When Andy said no, that he was just a simple janitor, the Swedish model knew that Andy must have been kidding, and seeing thru his thin veil of a lie, took him by the hand, walked a couple of blocks to her high class penthouse and proceeded to make love to Andy.  Andy suddenly found that he had a new sense of vigor and knew that the next 50 years were going to be better then the last.  Andy decided to celebrate by having a very fast food meal at McDonalds.  Walking to the counter, he splurged and order a fish sandwich, a Big Mac, Coke, and a hot apple pie.  The girl behind the counter gave him the food, winked, and never asked for his money.  When Andy tried to hand her the money, she took it, placed it underneath his Big Mac, and said she was just getting off her shift, and could she join Andy for dinner.  Sure enough, Andy was only two bites into his Big Mac when she sat next to him and grabbed a couple of his fries.  They were silent.  But the silence was like a 2 ton semi on a new jersey turnpike.  As Andy wiped the special sauce from his beautiful lips, the girl grabbed his hand and took Andy back to the penthouse of the Swedish girl.  A ménage-a-trios took place, Andy’s first one, and they met the dawn of the next day with French toast and powered sugar in the king size water bed.  Day 2 couldn’t get any better than this you say, but wait, it did.  Andy make love to 4 different girls, won a lottery ticket for 23,000 dollars, and found a Lincoln penny face side up on the sidewalk.  Boy, things are really great when you get in your fifties.  Maybe that’s why they call them the golden years.  Who knows, but one thing for sure, Andy is one of the smartest guys I know, and even though I cannot validate everything that he told me, and even though his sister said that Andy fell off his bike a couple of days ago and really banged his head hard, I can’t wait till I turn 50.

Eli Jungle Radio

  • We started an independent web radio station designed to support the Independent Musician. Let me know what you think. We are about 1 month old. Not sure what will happen with it...but we sure do love hearing new music.
Between 2001 and 2007, Eclectica released 7 CDs with over 80 published original songs. All songs are written, performed, engineered and produced by Eclectica. This musical project is the brain hurricane of Jeff Clarke (not the guy from EOE records) who has enlisted the help of his talented troupe of fellow compatriots in an ongoing effort to keep a fun, creative and productive spirit of collaboration alive over a lifetime of friendship. The primary catalysts in this endeavor — Rich Nelson and Russ Epker — are Detroit music veterans who have formed — and/or performed in — numerous local and national acts, including the Newz, Bitter Sweet Alley, The Skeleton Crew (featured on Star Search in the early ‘90’s), The Purple Gang (with drummer Chad Smith from the Red Hot Chili Peppers), Robert Bradley’s Blackwater Surprise, General Clusterfunk (with Joey Bowen, front man for 80’s Detroit rockers Adrenalin and D.C. Drive, and son of Mark Farner of Grand Funk Railroad), The Rock Kidz  (a popular New Jersey cover band from the ‘70’s and 80’s) — and more recently Wishgrove and 851 lbs. of Jam (see “Top Friends” links below). Clarke, Nelson and Epker grew up jamming and writing music together in Birmingham, Michigan and also worked for the rock and roll publication, CREEM Magazine, during the 1970’s, before its demise in print media following the tragic 1981 suicide of founder and owner Barry Kramer. These versatile artists go over the top to embrace and deliver, with exceptional ability, originality and grace, a wide range of musical tastes and genres.
